Scraplift Sunday 2/19

I just love everything about this week's Scraplift Sunday layout. I used American Crafts Hazelwood collection by One Canoe Two. My favorite 12x12 papers are Quartz and Sweet as Honey. I think what I love most about this layout is all the layers and the Sweet title and sentiment below. Feel inspired?! Play along with us and then share your layout in our Facebook group under the February challenge album for a chance to win a Paper Issues gift card!

Scrap N Chat

Tonight we are having a little extra fun in our Paper Issues Facebook group. It's Scrap 'n Chat night so we are chatting it up and we've got one challenge for you! Choose 8 things from the list below to include in your layout! I found this one quite challenging, but I'm always up for one! Hope you are too!

I used Fancy Pants Joy Parade for my layout along with one of our very own cut files - Circle Collage. The background paper is Sprinkle Some Joy which was perfect to use with my son's custard and sprinkles photo! You can find the rest of Joy Parade here.

Haven't joined our Facebook group yet?! Please do so you don't miss out on any of the chatting and challenges we do every day! Find us here!

Take 5 Tuesday

It's time for our Take 5 Challenge. If you are new new to Paper Issues this challenge is a great one to start with! Simply choose 5 things from the list below and incorporate them in your layout. For my layout, I pierced the outline of a heart in Paper 16 from the Pink Paislee Take Me Away collection by Paige Taylor Evans. Then I used twine and threaded it through the holes in all different directions. I used my Cricut to cut out a heart a little bit smaller than the piercings. Then I embellished it and added our cute family selfie!

My Take 5 are white, yellow, heart, cardstock, and 2 patterned papers. Like this collection? Paige Taylor Evan's newest collection Oh My Heart is in the Paper Issues store right now. Use my code RACHEL to get 20% off your purchase. Want to see more inspiration?! Check out the Paper Issues blog today to see what 5 things each design team member chose! Thank you for stopping by! XOXO

Let's Play Post Office!

Good morning! It's time for Round 1 of our February Issue. This month's challenge is called Let's Play Post Office. Here are some suggested ideas for creating a layout for this challenge:

  • Use office supplies like binder clips, tags, push pins, postage stamps and envelopes.
  • Alter a clipboard.
  • Include stamping on your project.
  • Document a piece of mail or a love letter.
  • Create a layout about your latest Paper Issues package (either a photo of the box and/or contents).
  • Show us your kids, grandchildren, etc. at play.
  • Share something about Valentine's Day/love
Well, this was a no-brainer for me because we are always at play around here! And we were lucky enough to get some warm days in January so we headed to the park for a picnic and playground time! Here's my layout using Crate Paper's Cool Kid!

We still have some Cool Kid in the Paper Issues store - including my favorite red 12x12 paper called Wild One! Here's a link to the free cut file {Together} I used on my layout. They have several free cut files created by my favorite cut file store - The Cut Shoppe

See the rest of the Issue here on the Paper Issues blog post! And as always, thanks for stopping by! XOXO
