Make Your Mark Spotlight

When I saw Make Your Mark for the first time in person I literally squealed for JOY! It's just that amazing! I love all the COLORS and the embellishments! Today we are showcasing it on the Paper Issues blog and I couldn't be happier!

I started with the Make Time 12x12 paper. I love the sentiment it repeats in multiple colors - "Make time for the things you love." It speaks to me in so many ways during this stage of life. Then I fussy cut these amazing flowers from the Magnifique 12x12 paper! I added a large 6x6 selfie of my husband & I and then some ephemera from their paper pieces. I finished my layout with a few lines of text typed on my typewriter.

Simple and effortless and still stunning! I love it when a collection is just so beautiful it makes scrapbooking easy. Want to shop? Find Make Your Mark here and save 20% with code RACHEL! XOXO

Hey Mister Spotlight

Hey hey! Today on the Paper Issues's blog the design team is featuring all the new lines from My Minds Eye's! I love them all, but I chose to showcase Hey Mister! This collection is dark - navy, brown, gray and copper and of course, all things manly. Perfect for me since I live in a house of boys!

I started with the Woof 12x12 paper and then placed a smaller piece of white cardstock on top slightly off center. I used my hexagon punch and the 6x6 pad and punched out several hexagons from my favorite papers. I love the copper shine that so many of the papers and embellishments have! I secured them to the cardstock in a sweeping motion up the page and then hand stitched around each one! So much fun! Then I added our Snapchat photo along with a few embellishments and done! As always, the enamel dots and brads from MME are my fave!

There are so many new lines to choose from - Hey Mister, In Bloom, Palm Beach, and Meow are all in the Paper Issues store. Find them here! Also, don't forget to read our Paper Issues blog to see how everyone else used these fabulous collections! XOXO

Swag Bag Goodness!

Look at all this yummy goodness from February's swag bag! Each month Cassie creates a swoon worthy set of goodies which are perfect for embellishing a layout or creating an entire layout! This month, I cut several of the 3x4 cards included in half and then used my fringe scissors on them! The pink and white heart paper is from Simple Stories' Love & Adore collection. The cute donuts and macaroons are in Doodlebug's Cream and Sugar line! And the gold puffy heart is from Maggie Holme's Chasing dreams collection. All of it together makes the perfect swag bag! Keep your eyes open for March's Swag Bag coming soon! When it does, you can find it here! But don't delay because they always sell out! XOXO

Wild at Heart Product Spotlight

Say hello to Wild At Heart! It's crazy gorgeous and everything I hoped it would be! You can't go wrong with it! Today on the Paper Issues blog we are shining the spotlight on this Cocoa Vanilla Studio collection and the design team has done amazing job!

For my layout, I wanted to use up some of the chipboard frames from the collection and I decided to layer them with the smaller ones inside the larger ones. I used three photos and then typed my journaling in the fourth frame. Then I added lots of embellishments. There are so many great choices. I love how the enamel dots sparkle! I used a lot of ephemera, stickers, and a couple of the flair too!

Cut It Up Saturday!

Let's cut it up!!! I love to use cut files on my layouts and Stacie always does an amazing job of creating fantastic ones for us each month. Find this latest one here! This Starry background is just what I needed for this boy layout with Amy Tangerine's new On a Whim collection! I cut out the file with the blue ombre paper called Shady Bunch. I backed some of the stars with two of my favorite papers in this collection - Pizza Party & All The Feels! Then I added my photo and lots of ephemera!!! The more the merrier, right?! For a little added dimension, I stitched around the red and white stars! It all came together just as I hoped it would!

Take 5 Tuesday!

Hello Take 5 Tuesday! It's time to pick from the list! Create a layout with 5 items from the list below. Easy peasy, right?!

For my layout I couldn't wait to use the Interlocking Hearts cut file that is free in the Paper Issues store. I cut it out in white cardstock and then backed it with paper from American Crafts Shimelle Little By Little! I fussy cut some extra hearts from the Evolving Love 12x12 paper and the 6x6 pad for some added color. I love adding some hand stitching to my layouts - this time in navy blue. The Thickers are also from Little By Little and come in both black and white!

You can find the other design team's layouts in today's blog post at Paper Issues. Shopping in our store? Use code RACHEL for 20% off! Thanks for stopping by to take a peak! XOXO

It's time for our new issue at Paper Issue's and this month is simple! Anything goes! Seriously! It's that easy! So I used American Craft's Little By Little by Shimelle to create my layout. On the bottom I stitched down the middle of each heart on the Evolving Love 12x12 paper. The top is Grow Happy. The i love you is one of our free cut files in the Paper Issues store! I finished the layout with a few strips of text from my typewriter and a cute selfie!

Notable Quotable Challenge

Happy Notable Quotable day! Ready for another challenge?! I know I am! This quote really spoke to me. As a mother of 2 young boys I am always telling them to stop growing! How can I ever slow this time down?! So when I saw this month's quote I knew just what I wanted to create. Here it is:

For my layout, I used Crate Paper Cool Kid. It will forever be one of my favorite boy lines! I started with the bright yellow Champ 12x12 paper. My title Don't Grow Up was inspired by the quote along with the pops of turquoise paper I included. Need some embellishments? The pennants and rubber pieces are awesome!

Hope you like this! Now it's time to play along. Create a layout inspired by the Peter Pan quote and then post it in the March Challenge Album in our Facebook group! We can't wait to see what you make!

Sketchy Saturday

Hello friends! It's time to get sketchy with Paper Issues! Need some inspiration? A sketch is always a great way to get your creative juices flowing - especially if you are stuck in a scrappy rut! It happens to me often. See the original sketch below!

For my layout I used one of My Mind's Eye's newest lines Hey Mister! It's all boy with dark navy, browns, and touches of shiny copper accents. I love it! Find it here! I also mixed in a few older pieces from Pink Paislee's Outfitters

Now it's your turn! XOXO

Pinspire Me

It's Pinspire Me time at Paper Issues! We have another gorgeous mood board for you! Each month I think it can't get any better and somehow they do! Take a look! The challenge is simple. Create a layout inspired by something you see on the mood board.

I immediately was inspired by the colors in the Count Your Lucky Stars and knew it would be a perfect opportunity to use one of our new cut files in the store - Starring You! If you haven't see our free cut files check them out here!

For my layout I used Shimelle's Little By Little. I've been using this collection a lot lately, but I love how each layout looks completely different. That's because there are so many colors it really is very versatile. I started with the Carousel Dreams 12x12 paper. I cut the file out with the Cultivate Joy paper. I then hand stitched all the way around the cut file before adding a few embellishments. The Thickers in this line are really great too. Each pack comes with a sheet of black and a sheet of white.

On the Paper Issue Blog today you can find all the design team layouts and they're so inspiring. Don't miss it! Thank you for stopping by and have an awesome day! XOXO

Working Title Challenge

It's that time again! Time to work that title on your layout. This month the challenge is to make your title BLING! It can sparkle, shine, glitter or all of the above. I decided to skip the glitter and go for shine with the new phrases stickers from the Crate Paper Oasis line.

For my layout, I used Shimelle's Little by Little collection! I started with the Grinning Badger 12x12 paper. Then I cut small strips from several of the papers in the line that are in the blue/purple family and glued them diagonally on the paper. I also love the cloud paper called Live a Little. I fussy cut several of them to add to my layout along with stitching, chipboard stars in gold and the wood buttons!

I just love how it turned out - dreamy and a little magical! Now click here to hop over to the Paper Issues blog to see what the lovely Design Team has created with the challenge. You will definitely be inspired! Thanks for stopping by!
