Scraplift Sunday 2 26

Happy Sunday friends! It's time to do some heavy lifting! I hope you have made some time for yourself this weekend. If not - do it! Clean off that scrap space and be inspired by our lift of the week. The original layout is by our Design Team member Tegan! For my layout, I used Amy Tangerine's new line called On A Whim! It's crazy bright, cheerful and full of fun! Check it out!

My favorite 12x12 paper is called All The Feels. I used it on the left side of the layout. My favorite embellishments in the collection are definitely the LOL Accent Thickers! Need this collection?! Get it for 20% off with my code RACHEL!

Little By Little Product Spotlight

Have you seen Shimelle's new collection - Little By Little?! It is absolutely amazing and my favorite winter 2017 release so far! It's all about colors, but still so versatile. When I first looked through the papers I was overwhelmed because I loved them all, but then it hit my and I knew exactly what I wanted to create. I love those moments. My favorite 12x12 paper is called Bear Hug. It's got the horizontal stripes with all the colors! I used our free Hearts Background cut file on it. With so much color I went for a simple black and white background with the Seeing Magic 12x12 paper.

Then I added some stitching, wood buttons, and the cutest puffy stickers ever! I also love the Encourage Wonder 12x12 paper! I cut out the words love, go, and bright from it - perfect for accents or a title on a layout!

Want to see more Little By Little?! You can find it in the Paper Issue's store here! For more inspiration check out the Paper Issues Product Spotlight blog post.

Take 5 Tuesday

It's time for our Take 5 Challenge. If you are new new to Paper Issues this challenge is a great one to start with! Simply choose 5 things from the list below and incorporate them in your layout. For my layout, I pierced the outline of a heart in Paper 16 from the Pink Paislee Take Me Away collection by Paige Taylor Evans. Then I used twine and threaded it through the holes in all different directions. I used my Cricut to cut out a heart a little bit smaller than the piercings. Then I embellished it and added our cute family selfie!

My Take 5 are white, yellow, heart, cardstock, and 2 patterned papers. Like this collection? Paige Taylor Evan's newest collection Oh My Heart is in the Paper Issues store right now. Use my code RACHEL to get 20% off your purchase. Want to see more inspiration?! Check out the Paper Issues blog today to see what 5 things each design team member chose! Thank you for stopping by! Let's Play Post Office!

Good morning! It's time for Round 1 of our February Issue. This month's challenge is called Let's Play Post Office. Here are some suggested ideas for creating a layout for this challenge:

  • Use office supplies like binder clips, tags, push pins, postage stamps and envelopes.
  • Alter a clipboard.
  • Include stamping on your project.
  • Document a piece of mail or a love letter.
  • Create a layout about your latest Paper Issues package (either a photo of the box and/or contents).
  • Show us your kids, grandchildren, etc. at play.
  • Share something about Valentine's Day/love
Well, this was a no-brainer for me because we are always at play around here! And we were lucky enough to get some warm days in January so we headed to the park for a picnic and playground time! Here's my layout using Crate Paper's Cool Kid!

We still have some Cool Kid in the Paper Issues store - including my favorite red 12x12 paper called Wild One! Here's a link to the free cut file {Together} I used on my layout. They have several free cut files created by my favorite cut file store - The Cut Shoppe

See the rest of the Issue here on the Paper Issues blog post! And as always, thanks for stopping by! XOXO

Scraplift Sunday

Happy Sunday friends! I played along with today's Scraplift Sunday layout at Paper Issues. Who doesn't love a grid layout?! They're so easy and fun to embellish & add dimension too! I mixed Bella Blvd's Oh My Stars and Alex lines again! My favorite part is the bicycle ephemera because it goes perfectly with my layout theme! Thanks for stopping by!

Notable Quotable!

Hello friends! Have you tried our new Notable Quotable challenge yet?! It's so fun and simple. Each month we give you a quote and then you create a layout using the quote, part of the quote or just create a layout inspired by the quote. Here's this month's quote!

I knew exactly what I wanted to create when I read this quote. I used Fancy Pant's Joy Parade. I love love love this line! Seriously! I used the Laugh Out Loud, Wrap It In Color, and Life Is A Party 12x12 papers on my layout. I love these three photos of my boys. This was the night before we celebrated Christmas and they exude joy and loving life! The "Love This Life" is a cut file from the Silhouette store.

I've said it before in one of my previous posts but the ephemera is this collection is amazing. There is so much inside it. You will not be dissapointed. I also love the puffy shapes & dots! I sprinkled them throughout the bottom half of the layout for just the right touch!

I hope you feel inspired to join us is playing in the Notable Quotable challenge. Need more inspiration? Check out today's blog post to see what the rest of the design team was inspired to create!
